Silky shark



Carcharhinus falciformis
This close up shows the caudal fin of a silky shark. The shark is being lined up to the meter stick in order to determine its fork length, or the length between the tip of its nose to the fork in its caudal fin. This silky shark was caught, tagged, and released alive during the SWFSC's 2004 shark survey at Clipperton Island. Carcharhinus falciformis

This close up shows the caudal fin of a silky shark. The shark is being lined up to the meter stick in order to determine its fork length, or the length between the tip of its nose to the fork in its caudal fin. This silky shark was caught, tagged, and released alive during the SWFSC's 2004 shark survey at Clipperton Island.
