Coho salmon


 



A group of endangered coho salmon smolts after release from the Kingfisher Flat Genetic Conservation Hatchery on Big Creek (Scott Creek tributary, Santa Cruz County). The fish are from our Coho Captive Broodstock Program, raised at the hatchery and at the SWFSC Santa Cruz facility. There may also be some wild steelhead mixed in with the group.
