Shortfin mako shark tagging Isurus oxyrinchusThis adult mako shark was caught during the SWFSC's Juvenile Shark Survey in 2004 off of the Channel Islands. A SPOT satellite tag is being attached to the dorsal fin. When released, the satellite tag will transmit data when the dorsal fin breaks the surface of the water. Isurus oxyrinchus

This adult mako shark was caught during the SWFSC's Juvenile Shark Survey in 2004 off of the Channel Islands. A SPOT satellite tag is being attached to the dorsal fin. When released, the satellite tag will transmit data when the dorsal fin breaks the surface of the water.
