Isurus oxyrinchus
This adult mako shark was caught during the SWFSC's Juvenile Shark Survey in 2004 off of the Channel Islands. A SPOT satellite tag is being attached to the dorsal fin. When released, the satellite tag will transmit data when the dorsal fin breaks the surface of the water.
