Dosidicus gigas
This adult jumbo squid was caught by squid jig aboard the NOAA Ship David Starr Jordan during the 2007 juvenile shark survey near the Channel Islands. The suckers on the tentacles are ringed by hooks, seen here, and the squid's mouth and beak are located in the center where the tentacles radiate out from.
