Collecting fish with seine

Salmon Ecology Team researchers collect salmonids in the Scott Creek lagoon using a seine, a net that hangs vertically from floats.

For each fish caught, the researchers record information such as tag number, length, and weight. Samples are taken for ageing and genetic analysis, after which the fish are released.
