The Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) recently posted a story on the launch of NOAA Ship Reuben Lasker which highlights the long-term collaboration between SIO and the Southwest Fisheries Science Center. Lasker is the fifth in a series of the most technologically advanced fisheries vessels in the world. The ship was launched June 16, 2012, and delivery to the west coast is expected in 2013.
