Research Interests:

I have studied rockfishes of the genus Sebastes for the last 20+ years. During that time I have conducted a variety of stock assessments that have been used to manage the U. S. west coast groundfish fishery. From 1999-2010 I was a member of the Pacific Fishery Management Council's Scientific and Statistical Committee, where I was involved in setting harvest policies for groundfish stocks. In addition, I have an ongoing research program to study the early life history of rockfishes and to determine oceanographic factors underlying their reproductive success.
