| | | | | Research Interests:My research examines how resource subsidies, environmental stochasticity, and biotic interactions affect the structure and function of riverine ecosystems. I am particularly interested in understanding the relative and synergistic roles of physical habitat complexity and stream productivity (food quantity and quality) in affecting the growth and production of juvenile salmonids, and how these factors vary across both time and space. My work generally combines field data with manipulative experiments to make inferences about important community and ecosystem processes that limit the carrying capacity of salmon-bearing streams. | Education:- Ph.D. Ecology, University of California at Davis, 2009
