Figure 12. The common trend analysis of subsurface temperatures in the CCS show that different El Ninos have differing impacts north/south, onshore/offshore, and shallow/deep. This is the mapping of El Nino and La Nina events on common trends 2-4, which clearly shows the differences between El Ninos on those dimensions (From Mendelssohn et al. 2003).
