Figure 7. Long-term changes in SST and Wind Stress in the CCS. While the trends still delineate three regions, as do the seasonal upwelling terms, the long-term change in mean SST, unlike the long-term change in seasonal SST, is not due to changes in the wind stress (From Schwing and Mendelssohn 1996).
