LOCATION, TIME AND DATE:
The 8th Annual Trinational Sardine Forum will be held in the Shedd Auditorium of the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute, located at 2595 Ingraham Street, San Diego, California in the United States. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29th and end by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30th. Hubbs-SeaWorld is about a 5 minute walk from The Dana Hotel, so rental cars are not essential. We will provide transportation for an off-site dinner, generously sponsored by the California Wetfish Producers Association on the evening of the 29th. All visitors to the United States must have a valid passport. Mexican citizens are required to obtain a non-immigrant visa or be in possession of a Border Crossing Card. Canadian citizens do not need a visa unless they are members of the Canadian government, in which case a visa is required.

$139 special government rate.
Overnight parking at the hotel is $10 per night.
RESERVATIONS:
Individuals must identify themselves as part of Southwest Fisheries Science Center at the time of making reservations in order to be eligible for the special group rate. When booking online from The Dana website (www.thedana.net), please click on the Group Reservations tab and enter the following Attendee Code: SFSC.
Participants must use a credit card to hold the reservation no later than October 26th, 2007. After this date we cannot guarantee the special room rate. Anne Allen needs to have a head count of people who will stay at The Dana Hotel to ensure availability, so please send an email to anne.allen@noaa.gov indicating whether or not you will stay at the hotel by October 22nd.
The Dana Hotel provides free shuttle transportation to and from the San Diego Airport. Call the hotel direct at 619-222-6440 from the baggage claim area to arrange a pickup. Hotel check-in time is after 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Check-out time is before 12:00 noon on the day of departure.

GETTING HERE:
San Diego international airport (SAN) is located in downtown San Diego approximately 25 minutes from the meeting location. There are several options for transportation from the airport, including rental cars, shuttles, and taxis. As mentioned above, the Dana Hotel provides free shuttle transportation to and from the San Diego Airport. Call the hotel direct at 619-222-6440 from the baggage claim area to arrange a pickup.
WEATHER:
Weather at the end of November in San Diego can be fairly variable, from sunny and warm (65°F) to cool and rainy (45-50°F). Attire for the meeting is casual, and bringing several layers is recommended.
FORUM INFORMATION
REGISTRATION:
There will be a $60 registration fee which is due by November 1, 2007. Payment is accepted by cash, check, or PayPal. Checks must be from a U.S. bank and made out to “California Wetfish Producers Association.”
To pay with a major credit card using PayPal, visit www.paypal.com. If you do not already have an account, you must create one with an email address and password. There is no charge to create an account. Then go to the “Send Money” tab, and fill in $60 to the Trinational account email address trinationalsardine@earthlink.net. The next page will allow you to fill in your credit card information and submit your payment.
Regardless of payment method, please submit the registration form to Anne Allen by October 22nd, 2007.
