Leatherback Turtle Genetic Tagging Demography Research, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands

The goal of this project was to genetically tag leatherback turtle hatchlings in order to learn basic demographic parameters (which remain virtually unknown for marine turtles in general). This was the second year of this project; last year nearly 7,000 samples were collected and there were 3,550 samples for this year.
