Graduate Student Research Featured on Radio Story

Graduate Student Research and Life History Collection featured in Radio Story – Scripps Institution of Oceanography and MMTD Genetics lab graduate student Matt Leslie was the guest producer/reporter on a story about the Marine Mammal Life History Collection and his genetics research on spinner and spotted dolphin stock structure that depends on this collection. The story was part of the Encyclopedia of Life's "One Species at a Time" series. Matt conducted interviews with MMTD biologist Susan Chivers, Wayne Perryman, and Bill Perrin regarding the tuna-dolphin issue, ongoing research in the area, and the uniqueness and importance of the Life History Collection. The story was funded in part by the National Science Foundation's IGERT Program grant to SIO.
