Southwest & Northwest Fisheries Science Centers, 27-31 July 2015

Southwest & Northwest Fisheries Science Centers’ Review of Science on Marine Mammals & Turtles, Southwest Fisheries Science Center, La Jolla, CA, 27-31 July - High quality science is fundamental to NOAA as a science-based agency. To maximize the transparency and effectiveness of its science and its value to NOAA and the nation, NOAA Fisheries conducts yearly peer reviews of scientific activities at each of its six Science Centers. In 2015 all Science Centers are being reviewed on Protected Species Science supporting the U.S. Endangered Species Act and the U.S. Marine Mammal Protection Act. The NWFSC and SWFSC will conduct a joint review of their marine mammal and turtle science next week.
