Four FRD staff members receive top NOAA honors

Three members of the Fisheries Resources Division have been selected as the recipients of the 2008 Bronze Medal Award: Ray Conser, Paul Crone, and Kevin Piner. This honor was awarded for their service in providing expertise to advance the first international measures for conserving yellowfin and bigeye tuna stocks in the western and central Pacific Ocean.

In addition, Al Coan, Jr., was awarded the highly prestigious NOAA 2008 Distinguished Career Award, for innovation and leadership in managing critical fishery statistics in support of domestic and international management of Highly Migratory Species.

Congratulations Al, Ray, Paul, and Kevin!
