Green Seas, Blue Seas Exhibit Opens at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History

Environmental Research Division,

The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History has opened a five-month exhibit featuring the art of Ray Troll and the science of the Southwest Fisheries Science Center and NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service. The interactive exhibit featuring original art, music, touchscreen animation, limericks and drawing tables allows visitors to engage in the art and science of the California Current.

This special exhibition of the public "Fin Art" of Ray Troll includes 40 original images drawn for the vibrant mural on the SWFSC’s Pacific Grove laboratory. Colorful, quirky, and scientifically accurate drawings convey the 100-year legacy of the Monterey Bay sardine fishery and illustrate how marine species respond to changes in ocean conditions.
