The new Southwest Fisheries Science Center La Jolla Laboratory Replacement Project was featured recently in the San Diego Union Tribune. Staff began moving into the new laboratory in mid-February and the move will continue into June. The move consolidates 35+ labs, five shops, four libraries, 1.5 million specimens and 275 scientists and support staff from two locations into the new building, which will be dedicated in summer 2013.
