My research interests are broadly focused on fishery ecology, population dynamics and stock assessment. In particular I am interested in: 1) Modeling the dynamics of fish populations and understanding the ecological, geo-chemical, and physical processes that influence their structure in space and time; 2) developing statistical methods to assess the spawning stock biomass of coastal pelagic species; 3) understanding patterns of recruitment as related to retrospective habitat use for the purpose of quantifying the vital rates of fish populations, modeling their life history, and enhancing their management and conservation.
