The ETP and Its Endangered Reptiles
In this set of materials, students follow the path created by the migration of the eastern Pacific green turtles. A power point lecture and related activities both align with the middle school California science standards, and details about this aspect of the curricula can be found in documents for the teacher. Activities encourage students to consider the environmental and anthropogenic implications for this unique marine reptile.
Download includes an introductory letter to the teacher, power point lecture, associated teacher's notes, research articles and media files (content will take several minutes to download).
Activities accompany this lecture and use the information learned in the presentation to plot a turtle migration, explore a habitat using Google Earth, and more. All activities contain student direction & worksheets, along with instructions and an answer key for the teacher.
