Fisheries Bycatch

The term "fisheries bycatch" refers to the non-targets species (unwanted species, juveniles, and other marine wildlife) unintentionally caught in fishing gear.  Researchers in several SWFSC divisions work on documenting, assessing the impacts, and mitigating bycatch.
